Herbert Trabanino

Physiotherapist - Clinical Lead

Herbert is a highly skilled and experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapist. He qualified from LaTrobe University Melbourne in 1998 and immediately embarked in a career in musculoskeletal and sports physio. In his first five years of practice, he worked with Australian Rules football teams and elite junior Soccer players alongside private practice work treating sports and work-related injuries in the general public. He moved to the UK in 2003 and completed his Masters in Neuromusculoskeletal Physiotherapy at The University of Hertfordshire in 2016.

In 2014 he was appointed company physiotherapist at Rambert, one of the UK’s most prestigious dance companies, a position he held for the next four years.

His special interests are in running biomechanics and managing spinal and lower limb injuries in runners and triathletes through the use strength and conditioning. Herbert’s treatment philosophy is to increase resilience in his patients, through education and exercise not only to recover from injury but to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Herbert practices what he preaches and in his spare time you’ll find him out on the road running or cycling, on his surfboard catching some waves, in the boxing gym, or lifting some heavy weights! He has a marathon PB of 2.55 and an Ironman time of 11.22 but these days he sticks to much shorter, less time intensive events!
