Poor running technique is the leading cause of running related injuries such as knee pain, foot pain and back pain.
Running Gait assessment is 10% science and 90% art, and at Chiltern Physiotherapy we are artists!
During a Physio Run Fit assessment we take a thorough medical history, injury history and sporting history. We will discuss what type of running you enjoy and what you feel your limitations are. We perform a full physical examination and injury screening before getting you on our treadmill and videoing your running gait. We then analyse your video with you in slow motion on our large screen TV and explain our findings.
You will then be prescribed an independent exercise programme to correct problems highlighted as well as strength and conditioning exercises and running drills to improve your running technique, reduce your risk of injury and enhance performance.
